Tips for spill containment

In a warehouse setting or at a factory that works with liquid substances sometimes a spill can be unavoidable. For this reason it is a better idea to be prepared for spills so that they can be properly taken care of then to just avoid the idea of a spill altogether. While no one likes to deal with a surplus of liquid or a problem, if you have Spill Containment procedures in place and receptacles ready to catch spills then it will become less of a problem and more of a task that simply needs to be completed at the end of the day.

This is due to the fact that things such as spill pallets and spill drums are easy to set up and purchase if you take a minute to consider Secondary Containment. Once they are purchased the only thing that you need to worry about is emptying the receptacles at the end of the day which is not such an arduous task, at least not when you compare it to mopping up an unplanned for spill that has now made it impossible to work in other areas of the factory. Like many other things, proper preparation is the easiest solution.
